How To Change Your Life
Even if you failed to make a decision, that was your choice. Failure to make a decision is a decision. If you allowed someone to talk you into something you could have said no.
If you allowed peer pressure, fear or your emotions to cause you to make a decision, it was still your decision. You have to take responsibility for your decisions positive or negative; good or bad.
Do you want to know how to change your life? Change your thinking. Change your perspective. Do you want to know how to change your thinking? First thing you have to do is make a decision that you are going to do it and stick to it.
One of the most difficult things for people to do is to change. Many people will settle for what they know they have instead of taking a chance on something different. If you want something different, you have to do something different.
What that means is if you find yourself thinking incorrectly, negative, ugly, bitter, thoughts, stop it; delete it and cast it down like God said in 2 Cor 10:5. Think and see things like you are at the top of the mountain, things look different from the top.
Cast down every imagination that does not line up with the word of God, and line up every thought with the word of God. Change your perspective, think on what the view looks like from the top.
If you find yourself thinking negative about your marriage, job, family or just your life. If you find yourself stressed over things that happen in life. God said you were to cast down every imagination and bring every thought into captivity that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and think on the things that He has called you to think about. Plus if you think about positive things, you are less likely to speak negative words.

Joel Osteen says, “It’s easy to get focused on what’s wrong in life, what we don’t have, and how big our obstacles are. If we’re not careful, we’ll lose sight of all the good things God has done. We’ll take for granted our family, friends, health and the opportunities God has blessed us with.
We’ll get so busy and stressed out that we won’t appreciate the gift of today. What’s happened? Our perspective has gotten off. Perspective is all about how we see a situation. There’s power in your perspective because you will draw into your life what you constantly meditate on.
Business may be slow. The economy may be down. The wrong perspective is, “I’ll never make it. It’s just too much.” The right perspective is, “God is supplying all of my needs. He said He would prosper me even in a desert.”
Today, I encourage you to evaluate your perspective. Choose to lift your eyes to God the Father no matter what is happening.
Remember, as you set your perspective in the right direction, your life will follow. When you keep an attitude of faith and expectancy, you open the door for His blessing in every area of your life!”
When David saw Goliath he said who is this man without a covenant with God. His thought was how could a man without a relationship with God defeat the army of God. Do you want to change your life? Do you think you have done so much that changing your life is not possible? Let’s face it God gave us the right of choice. He knew we were going to make mistakes, which is why He gave us forgiveness. He knew we would need to reconcile ourselves to Him.
Have your parents or family members ever told you that you have been that way all of your life? When you look at children grow, and watch their personalities develop, you can see early that some characteristics are just who they are. Some children flow and some are dramatic. Some are independent and will want to do everything themselves and others will let you do everything for them.
As they grow, someone will want them to change. Their mates may tell them they talk too much, or tell them they think they know everything. Someone will have problems with the easy going person because they do not get upset. Someone will want the dramatic one to calm down. Someone will want them to change.
There are some things about people that are just who they are. They have been that way all of their lives. No person is going to change those things, it is just who you are. Some things only God can change. And who knows, the characteristic that someone in your life wants you to change may be the thing that God wants to use.
Psalm 139:13-16 states that God created our innermost being; He knit us together in our mother’s womb. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. That Gods eyes saw our unformed bodies and; all our days were ordained for us and were written in His book before one of them came to be.
Now that is something positive to think about. You are so important to God that He has had a plan for you since the very beginning. Read and study your Bible, it will help change your thinking, it will help change your life. Change causes many people stress, and not good stress.

Dare to be Different
It takes courage to be different. People will criticize you, talk about you and even bully you because you dare to be different. It’s the good students who had the courage to be good who achieve their dreams. It is the so called NERDS that many times end up with lucrative careers. It’s the people who did what they needed to do instead of what everyone else was doing that were ready when opportunity knocked.
It is the couple who decided to stay committed to each other instead of being unfaithful when things got rough. It’s the people who decided to stay together when the relationship became challenging instead of getting a divorce, the people who decided to stand on the word of God instead of being like everyone else who get the rewards of a good marriage or a great marriage.
It takes courage to change your life. Once you change your thinking to positive thoughts, you have to act on those thoughts. Don’t allow fear or laziness to cripple you from acting on your positive thoughts. New thoughts without action will not change your life. Faith without works is dead.
Take the road less traveled, enter through the straight and narrow gate. If you try to be like someone, try to be like Jesus.
